Mal wieder ist die Freude groß...geiles Deck und handsigniert von Mike Vallely!
Mike Vallely aka "Mike V."...geiler Skater, ein bisschen kontrovers, was ihn aber auszeichnet und meine persönliche Meinung ist. Ich finde es gut und er hat das nie aufgegeben. Sein neuestes und möglicherweise bestes Projekt "Street Plant" aka "Garageland".

"About Prime Wood USA
The World Industries Mike Vallely Deck is manufacture by Prime Wood USA.
Prime Wood was founded in 1930 by a young, dedicated Italian-American businessman named Ceasare Tuccinardi. Ceasare started out primarily handcrafting quality furniture. They were very successful in making custom breakfast nooks. Shortly after launching his business, Ceasare had his three boys Phil, Louie and Lorrie. It wasn’t long before Prime became a family affair.
By 1964 the company had began curving plywood for some of its furniture projects. The presses the Tuccinardi family hand built for this process would eventually produce some of the earliest “kick tail” skateboards. With the new presses in place, Prime began pressing wood for early skateboard brands like Madrid and Z Products. The first skateboards were pressed by Prime Wood in 1968, making Prime one of the earliest mass producers of skateboards.

By 1988, Professional skateboarders Steve Rocco and Rodney Mullen felt the industry shifting. They left Sims and Powell respectively to found World Industries. The two walked through the Prime doors shortly after, and worked closely with Phil Tuccinardi to perfect the modern day skateboard. To this day Phil speaks of the countless hours Rodney spent shaping and perfecting things at the Prime factory to make top notch, quality skateboards. It was during this time Prime began making skateboards for almost the entire industry.
Their production roster included brands like World, Blind, Plan B, 101, Shorty’s, Birdhouse, Flip, Hookups, Baker, and the Firm to name just a portion. Prime Wood at it’s peak had 220 employees, produced 2.4 million skateboards a year, and was running 24 hours a day, 7 days week.
Phil, Louie and Lorrie all retired in 2008 and sold the Prime business to long-time skateboarder and musician Scott Holloway. Scott has since relocated the USA production facility to South Pasadena in Los Angeles County. Today each and every employee at Prime is also a passionate skateboarder, which ensures that our skateboards are made by individuals who really care about the quality of our products."

Ich hab nur gerade mal angefangen, meine Schätze in einem "Excel-File" zu katalogisieren...uiuiui...hätte ich von Anfang an machen sollen, stressig! Ich musste tatsächlich auf meinem eigenen Blog schauen, damit ich keinen Schatz vergesse. Dabei bin ich auf den "Joker" Print - Glow in the dark...ziemlich spooky...gestoßen.

"An east coast skateboarding wonder at a young age—there’s a story out there that Bucky started skateboarding after his bicycle was stolen, sure, but really there was a shop owner in Baltimore named Andy who liked Bucky, flowed him product, and generally made skateboarding affordable for him. He entered amateur contests and did well. His profile rose to a point where in 1989 Tony Hawk sent him a game changing invite to visit him in SoCal.The 1990 release of what has become known as Bucky’s STADIUM model was one of the graphics designed entirely by Sean Cliver during his three years at Powell Peralta. The back-story behind the unusual baseball-themed graphic has little to do with Bucky’s interest in, or his ability to actually play baseball.Not only was Bucky known for being a nice, likable guy, Sean also knew he was from Baltimore. At the time the Baltimore Orioles had gone through a resurgence because their new stadium (Camden Yards) was being constructed while Cal Ripken, Jr., was surging in his effort to play more baseball games consecutively (2632 eventually) than any human thought possible. Sean saw this as an opportunity for Bucky Lasek, the nice guy that people liked, to have a board graphic with lots of those people he liked on his board. Wieder ein Glücksmoment für einen Sammler! Ein Tony Hawk "Birdhouse" Deck, von Tony signiert und zu einem Schnäppchen-Preis.
Das Jahr ist bisher noch unbekannt, hab das gesamte "Internetz" auf links gedreht!
Aber vielleicht kriege ich ja noch Input von Tony...wer weiß!?
